01 — Information processed locally
Groovyday provides a side-panel listening player for YouTube. To provide its visible features, the extension processes information from YouTube tabs open in your browser, including:
This information is processed locally. Groovyday does not send it to the developer or to a developer-operated server.
02 — Local storage
Groovyday stores your Video or Audio only preference in local extension storage. It remains on your device until you change it, clear extension data, or uninstall Groovyday.
03 — Video preview
The live preview mirrors a muted video track from your existing YouTube tab between local extension contexts. Groovyday does not upload or separately rebroadcast the video.
04 — Network activity
Groovyday has no developer-operated backend, account system, analytics service, or tracking service. The player may load YouTube thumbnail images from YouTube image servers.
05 — Data sharing and sale
Groovyday does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data. No person working on Groovyday can access the YouTube information processed locally by the extension.
06 — Retention and deletion
Groovyday does not retain YouTube page content after it is no longer needed in the active side panel. Remove the locally stored media preference by clearing extension data or uninstalling Groovyday.
07 — Limited Use
Groovyday uses information only to provide and improve its disclosed side-panel listening features. The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
08 — Changes
If Groovyday's data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before those practices are introduced.
